Prestige Pools of Wilmington Incorporated is locally owned by Shane Kosnik. Shane has been in the swimming pool construction industry since 1991. He learned the trade in South Carolina in the towns of Mt Pleasant, Isle of Palms & Sullivan’s Island. Building vinyl liner, Concrete, & Fiberglass pools. From that hands-on experience, we offer a unique blend of the best practices from all those types of construction. With a strong dedication towards quality, our clients & community. Shane has been building in-ground swimming pools in New Hanover County since he established Prestige Pools of Wilmington inc. in 1999. From 1999 till 2011 Shane sold & built the pools by himself. From permits to excavation to the installation of the pool structure to the pouring the concrete deck to pool school & service. Perfecting the craft along the way. Shane’s hard-working ambitions created Prestige Pools, setting standards & procedures we utilize daily. He has successfully enhanced the backyards of over 750 clients. Under Shane Prestige Pools of Wilmington inc. operates as a licensed North Carolina General Contractor. A SP-SP Electrical Contractor, this rare electrical license is a specialized for swimming pool construction. He also holds a National Pool & Spa operator certification. Prestige Pools of Wilmington Inc. owns all of our pool building equipment, From dump trucks & excavators to service vehicles and beyond. We are completely independent from start to finish. Our 2-acre shop and design studio are located at Monkey Junction. This a testament to the dedication we have to our customers that we will be here for many years to come. Our Team has Grown and we are now composed of a select group of quality individuals whose individual talents are the strongest in the area for which they are responsible for. Jordan is our salesman & project manager. He is a 2013 UNCW graduate with a criminology/sociology degree. He also graduated from high school as the salutatorian and class president. He maintains a national pool & spa operators' certification along with a NC dot oversize escort license. Leyton "The man on a Mission" is one of our logistical coordinators in charge of transporting our pools from Rockingham, NC. Also transporting our in-house owned heavy equipment, machinery, trucks, trailers, and supplies required for every new pool build. Raunel "Our Critical Thinker" is our other logistical coordinator in charge of transporting our in-house owned heavy equipment, machinery, trucks, trailers, and supplies required for your new pool. As well as maintaining the shop yard and the inventory to allow everyone to make those waves. Cameron "The Go Getter" is our newest member of the team and is our lead technician. Supplying the makeover of our pool builds and overseeing the jobs operations day in and day out from start to finish. Sharon "The one who keeps us all on task", joined the team in 2022. She handles submitting and obtaining all permitting, scheduling deliveries/pickups, creates our pool Renderings/Drawings, enforces rules and regulations. We say, she takes care of those items that are crucial to make a business go. Behind the scenes there are a plethora of responsibilities that the normal eye can't see. Our in-house build crews have been part of the prestige family for over 12 years ensuring quality for many years to come. Blake, Eddie & Anthony are our concrete professionals. We are approaching a decade of uniting our teams. Quality is King. Johnny, our electrician, has national electrical experience, great communication, work ethic, and a "do it right the first time mentality!" <-- Dave our electrician shares the deep abiding satisfaction in a job well done & to do it right the first time.
